Lagavulin 8yr 200th Anniversary(70cl, 48%)

A recent release to commemorate the 200 year anniversary of the Lagavulin distillery (founded 1816 by John Johnston). This 8 year old expression combines a great complexity considering its youthful age: big, smoky and spice backed by the powerful 48% back-bone. Inspired by the visit of Alfred Barnard to the distillery in the 1880s when he tried an 'exceptionally fine' eight-year-old from the distillery, this is a fitting tribute for the milestone. Classic Lagavulin aromas of citrus (Lemon/Lime) mixing with the peaty woodsmoke, A superb dram to add to your collection.
